Directory of Public Meeting Spaces available in Community Documents
A document that contains information about many public meeting spaces in the Morris community is now available in the Community Documents under the "General Resource" category.
A team representing the City of Morris / UMM COPC Partnership presented a workshop during the first annual University of Minnesota Public Engagement Day. Members of the presentation team included Melanie Fohl, City of Morris Housing and Redevelopment Authority (COPC Housing Initiative); Paul Schwarz (COPC H4H and The Idea Factory); Steve Roos, U of M Center for Rural Design (COPC School Property Reuse); David Fluegel, Center for Small Towns, (Coordinator COPC Partnership); and Jenny Wermerskirchen, UMM Student (DesignMorris! Administrative Assistant).
The goals of the event were the provide a deeper understanding of what public engagement means to the university and the community, learn about the many dimensions of public engagement from successful examples, and inspire new relationships. The Morris COPC Partnership presentation focused on ways the partnership engages people from the public, academic and private sectors through the creation of community-campus partnerships.
