One of the goals for Design Morris! was to have the Minnesota Design Team come to Morris and help decide what our town should focus on in terms of improvement. This goal was accomplished, and the Design Team left us with many great ideas and ways to enhance Morris. All of their suggestions are posted on this site, click to view the Design Team Drawings.
Our site also features general pictures of Morris, MN. The pictures featured here are from areas all around Morris, hopefully capturing all areas of our town.
The Minnesota Design Team visited Morris on October 13-15, 2005.
The Minnesota Design Team came to Morris, gave us some suggestions, and now it is our turn to make history, and to shape the way Morris will look for generations to come. Get involved! The work is only beginning, as the first large meeting of the Design Morris Implementation Team was November 15th in the High School Commons. View some of the drawings on the exciting progress that was made.
If you have any questions please call the Chamber Office at (320) 589-1242.
Design Morris is a project focused on the aesthetic appearance of Morris. The Minnesota Design Team was brought in to provide suggestions for the community, and now community members are volunteering to help implement the suggestions of the MDT. Projects in five areas were chosen and are currently underway. These project areas are: Sixth Street Corridor, Commercial Corridor, Community Public Spaces, Trails and Elementary School Property Reuse.
