The Economic Development Priority Area for the COPC Grant focuses on ways to improve the business climate and economic opportunities in the Morris community. Support for small businesses and developing businesses has been key in this Priority Area.
This Priority Area began with an Entreprenuership and Business Mentoring Program to help hatch more new businesses in the Morris Community. This initiative has been very successful, and has since morphed into The Idea Factory.
The Business Connections Program has worked to provide resources and information about research and development for small businesses in the community.
