The City of Morris is the primary partner in the COPC project. While Morris is located in a rural environment, the western plains of Minnesota, it is a thriving urbanized community that takes pride in its educational institutions, medical facilities, and community members.
University of Minnesota, Morris
The University of Minnesota, Morris, is the higher education institution partnering with the City of Morris for the COPC project. UMM is one of the nations top public liberal arts colleges, consistently ranking among the top five of these insitutions according to US News and World Report.
Center for Small Towns
The Center for Small Towns is a community outreach program housed at the University of Minnesota, Morris, that will be responsible for the leadership and implementation of the COPC grant. The Center’s mission is to help focus the University's attention and marshal its resources toward assisting Minnesota's small towns with locally identified issues by creating applied learning opportunities for faculty and students.
